Chaos

This design exploded from a burst of energy that occurred at 3am….. I swear I’m becoming nocturnal. I call it chaos because that’s what my room looked like when I was finished, and in my crazy imagination when the human mind is swarming with millions of thoughts, feelings, and emotions this is what it looks like. Maybe not everyone’s as colorful, but I sincerely hope mine is.

I started by using a small amount of the Simple Light Moisturizer on my face and neck.
Then I blended Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid-Touch Foundation in Ivory onto my face, to have a smooth even base.

To get intense color payoff I covered the top half of my face with three shadows from the Urban Decay Electric Palette “Gonzo” “Chaos” and “Fringe”. I blended them with the Real Techniques Foundation Brush. Using the Real Techniques Blush Brush I added a few glitter accents of Urban Decay Eyeshadow in “Revolt"

The bottom pink half was covered with Urban Decay “Savage” using the Real Techniques Blush Brush.

For my eyes I used Urban Decay “Freak” all over my lid, with the Elf Professional Blending Eye Brush. I applied Urban Decay “Mildew” in my crease with the Smashbox Travel Shadow Brush. For my browbone I used Urban Decay “Graffiti” and dusted it on with my finger. I lined my bottom lash line with Covergirl Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in “Midnight Blue". I applied a generous amount of Loreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara in Blackest Black to my top and bottom lashes.

I wanted my eyebrows to work with the blue theme, so I covered them with Ulta Kohl Eye Liner in "Aqua".

On the pink half of my face, I added a few little glittery touches. The center dot is City Color Mousse Eyeshadow in "White/Gold" with Ulta Glitter Eye Top Coat in “Put a Ring on it” dusted on top. I used Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in “Glam Rock” for the sparkles coming off.

Between the pink and blue sections I added a smaller purple section using Urban Decay “Urban”

The purple and pink streaks started as a mistake but I thought they looked cool so I went with it. I basically swatched Urban Decay Eyeshadows in “Urban” and “Savage" with my finger and just swiped it on my face in random places.

Finally for my lips I started with Burt’s Bees Nurishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter, then applied Covergirl Lip Lava in “Look its Lava”

I wanted my hair to look undone and messy so I put it up in a high ponytail leaving a few strands down to frame my face.

I had way too much fun with this look LOL! I loved working with such bright, happy colors. It was a great way to kickoff summer and reignite my creativity.
